Cross the Daintree River, traverse the 4wd Bloomfield Track and return along the Mulligan Highway, the Outback of Far North Queensland

You will travel through where two UNESCO World Heritage sites meet, the Reef and the Rainforest. Recognised for the area's exceptional natural beauty and the importance of its biological diversity and evolutionary history, it's the oldest continuous living rainforest on the planet. Journey Overview
- Travel north towards Port Douglas along one of Austraia's most scenic coastal drives
- Pass through the picturesque sugar-producing town of Mossman.
- Cross the majestic Daintree River by ferry, entering the ancient Daintree Rainforest.
- Enjoy the lush tropical surroundings and keep an eye out for the elusive Cassowaries.
- Thornton Beach, where the rainforest meets the reef, for a leisurely stroll on the secluded shoreline.
- Travel on the iconic 4WD Bloomfield Track
- Encounter creek crossings, inclines, declines, while soaking in the breathtaking scenery along the way
- Follow the Bloomfield River, pausing for a memorable photo opportunity at Wujal Wujal as we cross it.
- Visit the historic Lions Den Hotel, established in 1875

Arrive at the charming and historic township of Cooktown, nestled between the Endeavour River and Grassy Hill, with Mount Cook as a picturesque backdrop.
- Admire Captain Cook's monument on the banks of the Endeavour River.
- Enjoy a delightful lunch at the Sovereign Resort savouring the local flavours and ambiance.
- Explore the Cooktown Museum, with your admission included, delve into the rich history and heritage of the region. (Subject to seasonal opening hours) - alternative will be the Waalmbal Birri Heritage and Culture Centre
Afternoon: Some free time to wander around Cooktown, taking in the sights and soaking up the laid-back atmosphere.
Departure:
Gather for departure back to Cairns, reflecting on the day's adventures and the beauty of Far North Queensland.
- Heading home via the inland outback route, it is not long before we stop at the mysterious Black Mountain, a geological world wonder!
- Return journey along the Mulligan Highway, the Palmer River Goldfields region and the Outback landscapes of Far North Queensland
